Please support the NHS e-Referral Service Manage Your Referral campaign by displaying this on your waiting room screens to encourage patients to book their own outpatient appointments online. 

More referrals are being made electronically with the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS).

Using e-RS means practices have the chance to save time by empowering patients to book their own outpatient appointments online.

The new e-RS ‘Manage Your Referral’ website is easy for patients to use. It allows them to book, check, change and cancel their appointments online without help from the practice. 

Information packs have been sent to GP practices that offer patients information on how they can book their hospital appointments online. Each pack contains leaflets and posters for practice staff and patients, so please talk to your patients about it.
